30 minute one-on-one session to discuss your vocal goals, history with singing (if any), and what you’re looking to get out of lessons. This consultation helps us to define your goals for lessons before you jump into lessons. This is NOT a formal lesson and is meant for students who plan to take lessons for a month or more.

Lesson Scheduling: when you book your session, you will be prompted to fill out a form with your availability for lessons. Please give a list of a few possible dates/times available to you to speed up the scheduling process. You will be contacted by Marley with your lesson time once it is scheduled. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response. If you are looking for an urgent Single Lesson time for audition prep or another matter, please put “URGENT” in the subject heading.

Life can get busy, auditions come in with fast turnarounds, finances can get tight… That’s why we’ve created a video review service. For just $20, you can send in a 6-minute video of music and receive feedback as early as same-day replies. Replies will usually be sent in 1-2 business days, but may take 3 days if volume is high at the moment.
Video Review Service
Send a video of ONE song, up to 6mins in length. Marley will review the song and provide feedback via text, video, or audio recording. Feedback will be sent in 1-3 business days.

The Vocal Playground Studio Class will be a place where students can practice performing live in front of fellow studio members in a supportive environment. The class format may change week-to-week dependent upon the interests of the students in class. One week, it may solely exist as a performance space where students bring in full songs or cuts of songs to perform for feedback. They will get to choose whether they’d like feedback just from the instructor or from other students as well. Another format for the class would be educational presentations and workshops on specific topics relevant to the current students in class and may involve guest speakers from the industry who specialize in particular topics of interest. Studio class will be 2 hours in length and there will be monthly and weekly payment options. One of the best parts of studio class is watching others perform and listening to their feedback. You learn a lot by doing but also by listening and watching someone else perform in a studio setting. Students are not required to sing every week and participants who want to sign up solely to watch are always welcome.
Monthly (4x/month) = $120 – saves $40/month

On the topic of student feedback: if a student chooses to accept feedback from other classmates (completely optional), the following rules apply. Positive feedback is welcome. Constructive criticism may only be given if framed in a way which is helpful to the student receiving feedback. Harmfully negative commentary will not be tolerated and for anyone who chooses to say something to those means will be barred from studio class and potentially from all of Pangolin Studios dependent on the severity of the exchange. We take the wellbeing of our students and teachers very seriously.

Marley Lammers - Bio
Marley is an actor, singer, songwriter, director and producer from Cleveland, Ohio. She has been doing musical theatre for 15+ years and studying voice professionally for 8+ years. She holds a Bachelor in Musical Arts in Lyric Theatre from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was trained in classical and contemporary voice (CCM) and studied dance, wildlife conservation, and film production.
Her contemporary training is based in the Estill Voice Technique, a science-based, physiological approach to voice instruction focused on maintaining vocal health while exploring the voice in different singing styles. The technique allows one to manipulate their vocal tract and, besides singing, can be used for character voices and speech therapy. Marley studied Estill and Contemporary Voice under Professor Sarah Wigley (EMT) and Dr. Lara Brooks (EMCI-C) at the University of Illinois and is working towards a teaching certification in the technique. She studied classical voice at the university with professors Dawn Harris and Sylvia Stone and was coached by professors Nathan Gunn, Dr. Julie Gunn, Michael Tilley, Dr. Scott MacLeod, and Y’vonne Redman.
In addition to her vocal background, Marley has trained in various dance and acting techniques like Meisner (Houde School of Acting), Laban, Alexander, and Chekov. Her teaching is grounded in using a combination of kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learning, dependent on what works best for each individual student. Every person has a different learning style and we will work together to find what fits best for you! Whether you are new to voice lessons, taking lessons for fun, prepping for college or professional auditions, or are a seasoned professional singer, Marley aims to be as adaptable and flexible as possible to help you work towards achieving your individual goals.
