Marley Lammers has produced and directed several independent films. She studied filmmaking through the University of Illinois certificate program. She is incredibly hands-on and detail-oriented. Marley loves film and believes firmly that anything can be accomplished with the right team. As a director, her acting experience helps her in working with her actors on set. She is a decisive and creative leader. As a producer, she works closely with the director to help build their artistic team and crew, helps manage each department from start to finish and aims to help elevate each film to its highest potential within the budget and timeframe. Marley Lammers is an actor, casting director, and producer based in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been producing and directing independent films since 2023. She studied film at the University of Illinois through their media production certificate program. She directed, cast, and produced several films in her time at the university. Her capstone film, Back To The Old House, a film giving life to a girl in a painting, is on its way towards a festival run. Marley is a natural leader, so when she discovered the world of producing and directing films, she knew she was in the right place. She pours her heart and time into each film she chooses to work on. She works closely with other members of the production team to ensure we are all working towards the same artistic vision. As a director, she loves to collaborate and look at a film from many different perspectives. As a producer, she is constantly checking to ensure she has all bases covered in all departments so that preproduction, production, and post can all run as smoothly as possible. As a casting director, she works closely with the director to ensure she is clear on their artistic vision. She works long hours during casting to ensure that every actor tape is watched and considered before showing the director. In callbacks, she uses her extensive acting background and directing experience to work with the actors to play with the scenes. When it comes to anything film, Marley is a very passionate, hard worker. At the UofI and in the Cleveland film scene, she has worked other roles in film, such as a 1st/2nd AD, 2nd AC, Script Supervisor, and a PA.
